Autism Diet Research Study
Author Angela Taylor is collaborating with Karla Au Yeung, M.D. (Pediatric Gastroenterology) at Johns Hopkins University to design a 12-week, pilot research project to study the effectiveness of the GAPS Diet in Treating Childhood Autism. If you or your organization would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Gastroenterlogy for this project, please contact us. Thanks in advance for your support of this important autism research.
Study Participants Needed
We hope to find 60 volunteers to be a part of this groundbreaking study. (Pending funding.)
We will be seeking children ages 3-5, with a confirmed autism diagnosis, who reside within driving distance from Johns Hopkins Hospital (in downtown Baltimore).
If you are the parent of an autistic child aged 3-5 who has not yet started SCD/GAPS, please contact us to express your interest.
Participants will receive free autism diagnostic assessments (before/after), and GAPS diet education and support.
Once the study begins, participants will be required to adhere to a strict GAPS diet, and will be responsible for their own food shopping and meal preparation.
If you have already embarked upon the SCD/GAPS diet and would like to share your success story with us, please email us your testimonial!
